TripShared is designed to help you find travel information, and help others by sharing what you know. All travel pages can be edited like Wikipedia, except that you don't need to know any special formatting to be able to edit or add pages. Just look for the "edit" tab at the top of any travel page, or "add" links at the bottom of the travel pages.
Information only needs to be edited or added in one place and then shows up in many places on the site.
Pages are linked to a location using a map. Maps can also be used for navigating the site - just click on points of interest.
Share your Opinions
What you think about a place can often be the most valuable information. You can Rateall pages by just clicking on the star system at the bottom so that you can easily click when you like or don't like something. If you want to share more, there's also a comments section.
Reviews are for all registered users - you don't have to make any bookings, and you can even add and review places that don't even have their own web-pages.
If a place you've stayed in isn't on the site yet, you can add it to the guide. This is especially helpful for small family-run accommodation that can't be found on regular booking sites.
Share Travel Plans
If you want to find people who are going the same way as you are, you can! Look for the "Who's Going" box below the photos for a location.
If you're planning a trip you can click the "I'm Going!" link on the bottom of each location page. You can make these plans visible to the world at large or just your friends on this site.

You can easily add photos that automatically get linked to locations on a map. Just click the "Add a Photo" link that you find at the bottom of the page you've been to. Your profile page gets updated with your travel plans and photos. You can make these photos visible to the world at large or just your friends on this site.
